It's Not My Fault My Pets Hate ME

Being mean to animals will probably result in a free trip to hell or just a curse that will follow you forever, if you didn't really mean it

As a three-year-old girl, it was my dream to own a dog. I remember standing in our balcony everyday at 11 to watch my old neighbor walking his dog so I can smile & wave at it. Days passed & a family friend decided to fulfill my dream & give me a puppy as a gift. It was white 7 couldn't even walk properly & still depended on drinking milk & milk only. So you'd probably think that this is the cutest thing ever, right? Well, that's not what baby me thought

So apparently waking up every day to find my mother playing with the puppy (that by the way, though that my mom was his own mom too), wasn't "cute" for me. And him eating breakfast everyday with the help of my mother, while I was sitting there struggling with the fork & spoon wasn't cute either. Yes, dear readers, I was jealous, jealous of my puppy

So baby me decided to go with a cold heart to her parents & tell them that she doesn't want the poor puppy anymore because she doesn't feel loved in her house like before, to which her mom said, Okay, we will get rid of him then

So the dog probably never forgave me & karma didn't forget me, & I ended up with a curse that has been following me since that day. Want to find out how? Read on...

    Accident 1 : Chicky in a Cage

Obviously, listening to me when it came to animals was a really bad idea. The poor puppy story wasn't even forgotten yet as things continued. When I was four, my mother decided to listen again to me when I kept asking every day for pets

Anyway, I got five adorable chicks in a tiny cage. The chicks were so yellow & tiny & cute & we decided for some reason to put them in the balcony so that they could be exposed to a good amount of sunshine every day. See, I cared. I'd always go to the balcony to spend hours with them, playing, running after them & to do some, Fly, Please Fly" experiments

I remember my mother standing next to me asking me to go eat my food & because I was such a perfect child (lol), I decided that day to listen to my mother immediately, & put the chicks back inside the cage. After less than a minute I heard my mother screaming, "MAAAAAY. LOOk AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Apparently I closed the cage on my chick's tiny neck which immediately broke one of his wings & Paralyzed him temporarily

My mother had to take the poor chick to try to help it somehow so that it wouldn't die. Obviously my mother was doing such a great job to the extent that the poor chick wasn't poor anymore, but big & fat & healthy instead. Meanwhile, our maid offered to take care of the rest of the chicks so that they too can become "big" chickens like the one my mother had, so I totally agreed & gave her the cage. But to my surprise, they all died in less than two days because she apparently put them (& left them) in our garden & they apparently were attacked by a cat (or God knows what), that ate them & left the bones in front of our door for me to find

Now, dear readers, this is where this chapter ends. I mean, all my chick died, but they weren't the only pet that died in front of my eyes. Stay turned for more

Accident 2 : Something Fishy Happened

After the unlucky incident that occurred when I accidently broke my baby chicken's wing, I was at a point in my life where it was a taboo not only to ask for another pet, but to even mention the word "pets" in my house. My parents had had enough ( & probably became members in the PETA organization, but I am yet to prove that part

However, because I was lucky (or because fish were unlucky, not quite sure), I got invited to a friend's birthday & ended up going home with a fish. I loved that fish with all my heart & used to sit next to it for hours watching how it moves & swims inside its jar

One day I had a straw in my hand & decided to add some action to my fish's life . I mean you'd be quite bored if you were living inside a jar & doing nothing but swimming, right? So I put the straw inside the jar & started following the fish everywhere with it. The fish started swimming faster & faster & so I started moving the straw faster & faster, & them

I watched how my fish died with my own eyes. It stopped moving, it was as if sleeping on its side. Well, it probably got shocked or something & therefore got a heart attack or something ... yeah, it's sad. But it's not as sad as my friend who forgot that she even had a fish till it "dried"! But that's not my story to tell

    There's Still Hope in Batates

It's 2025 & I had come to the conclusion that my pets are always -accidentally- going to die, therefore I decided to do some charity. If my parents aren't okay with me owning a pet, I will "raise" street cats & feed them & give them all the love in the world. ( My parents are really okay with that, because they think the cats are pretty much safer on the street). I now have a street cat called Batates who does really love me with every fiber of her existence & so do I. I feed her along with her children & grandchildren & I pet them, & I talk to them & Batates des in fact talk to me, but only in her ******** of course. Batates shows me her babies each & every time she gives birth. She allows me to carry them & play with them & so far-thank God- they're all alive & healthy & I haven't killed anything yet or was the reason for anything's death. I hope nothing changes; the last thing I want is another dead pet that will hate me forever

Before I go I want to inform you, that all my friends' pets love me. Guess what has always been happening to me was nothing but a matter of bad luck, right? No? Okay.
