In our country, where the system of medical care is going through
hard times, providing patients with the domestic drugs are at an
unacceptably low level. At the same time the doctors, having in front of
bright and colorful advertisements, booklets and pamphlets of foreign
pharmaceutical companies, often recommend that patients not effective
medications drugs. Many of these medicines have not used in the West,
and with streamlined production surplus of these products come to us in
Russia.


In the former Soviet Union there was a strong pharmaceutical industry,
which employed hundreds of thousands of top-notch pharmacists who have
international fame. During this period of development of our society has
been developed and introduced into medical practice of medicine dimephosphone - The brainchild of world famous Kazan School of Pharmacology.



Dimephosphone - Dimethyl ether,
1,1-dimethyl-3-oksobutilfosfonovoy acid (see Fig.). It is synthesized in
the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry, Kazan Branch of the
USSR in 1952, and the study of its pharmacological properties was
started in the seventies of last century and continues to the present
time. A continuous method for producing dimephosphone-substance,
suitable for industrial development, designed in the sixties (Ar-Buzov
BA, AO Wiesel, 1966). May 30, 1983 Order № 654 dimephosphone allowed for
commercial release for therapeutic purposes (registration certificate №
83/654/13). Since that time dimephosphone is available as a 15% aqueous
solution for oral and topical use of BGH, and from 1993 to FS
42-2966-93, as well as vials for injection and infusion solutions for
VFS 42-2270 -93.

Dimephosphone - Is a colorless transparent or slightly opalescent
oily liquid with a peculiar odor and bitter taste, pH - 2.0 - 4.0.
Molecular weight - 208.2, density - 1.111 - 1.114.


Breadth of therapeutic action This medication sometimes surprises
and attracts much attention of researchers. We have analyzed the
literature based on years of research primarily Kazan medical scientists
